I have been thinking about this since I bought FSX in December 2007. I was unhappy about using part functional aircraft from FS9. It's not the models, it's the data in the 'aircraft.cfg' file that has its differences.

It seems the X, Y and Z axi have been switched around. Totally confused by the Simconnect thing MS started using and the documentation isn't that good. maybe I'll try again.

Other model builders ----------- Payware

http://www.commerciallevel.com/

For player use, possibly 8.
Your views?

I am thinking about the load on a persons computer when there may be times which a lot of other aircraft are in the area, as happens when online at events.

If it's LOD25 and 30 aircraft, you can imagine the load on the system. LOD8 should still look good and be kind to a users system.

If possible, all aircraft models should have a Virtual cockpit fully working also. This can be released at a later date separately from the mian model and core files.

Why start this?

There is a need for pure FSX models, these users are having to do with FS2004 versions which do not always work.

There is also a demand for certain models which are not catered for or are payware.

I can't model or build panels. I occasionally try my hand at painting.

For Project Wings, I need to rely on other people who have more experience.

Other model builders ------------ Freeware

Any links added will be verified.
